Pool Party 2024

Just as the jubilant month of July was adjourning in 2024, our Scouts and Princesses (and a few frivolous fathers) enjoyed some serious sliding, splashing, and snacks at the Centennial Aquatic Center.

Some struggled through the shoulder stressing cargo net and subsequently celebrated success…

…whilst others harvested their happiness in hoops and hobnobbing.

But let us not languish in the last little allowances of the Summer, but alternatively anticipate Autumn’s amusements in the advent of the 2024-2025 season!

Memorial Day Parade 2023

On May 29th, the Park Ridge Wilderness Scouts and Princesses Federation marched in the city’s annual Memorial Day Parade, with our 3 Nations all taking part in the big event: the Algonquin and Iroquois (daughters and dads) and the Winnebago (sons and dads).

We paid our respects to all of those who have given everything for our country and for us.

Everyone had a great time – including some with 4 legs...

We are looking forward to the start of the new season right around the corner this Fall!

Food Drive 2022

Thank you for all those in the community that volunteered their time and made donations to the annual PRWSP Food Drive on October 15th and 16th.

Reflecting the generous nature of the surrounding community, the Food Drive this year was a resounding success, even with several other similar drives being held this month.  With everyone’s helpful contributions, the PRWSP was able to make significant food and other donations this year to the Maine Township Food Pantry, the St. Paul of the Cross Food Pantry and the Elk Grove Township Food Pantry. 

Thank you again for helping the PRWSP work towards a hunger-free community!

Christmas Tree Sale 2021

The long-running tradition continues this year. Come on out and bring home a Fraiser Fur or perhaps Balsam tree, choose a nice wreath from three different sizes, or pick up some garland.

It all starts on Black Friday, Nov 26th at the corner Touhy Ave and Western Ave in Park Ridge.

Remember, it’s for a good cause; everything we make goes to local charities. We accept cash or check.

Fall Food Drive

The Park Ridge Wilderness Scouts and Princesses (PRWSP) wanted to thank all of those residents and businesses who graciously donated to the 2021 Fall Food Drive!

The Food Drive this year was for the benefit of the St. Paul of the Cross and Maine Township Food Pantries and for those families they support.  The generous donations were very much welcomed by the two food pantries which traditionally have lower donor contributions during the month of October.

Based on the communities generosity, the PRWSP hopes that this event will become an annual tradition in helping those hungry and in need in the area.
