PRISIP Winnebago Nation 3rd Annual Luau
Nation Chief Matt Hachigian and his crew does it again! The PRISIP Winnebago Nation took over the Community Center pool in Park Ridge for a Saturday evening of water fun. Spuntino’s pizza and a celebratory cake was provided for the hungry swimmers. Special thanks to Jen Hachigian for helping Matt make this event possible.
PRISIP Iroquois Nation 2016 Winter Campout
The girls had a fantastic time at the PRISIP Iroquois Nation’s 2016 winter campout at YMCA Camp Duncan. It was one of the coldest campouts of recent memory but the Princesses had a blast sledding, exploring, hunting for plates, competing in the trivia competition and enjoying the evening camp fire. Dads spent hours cooking the “midnight meal”. Brisket chili, pulled pork, jalapeno and honey cole slaw, fried everything and the list goes on. Special thanks to Beau O’Hara and his chiefs for a truly memorable experience.
2016 Winnebago Camp Out… Short on Snow but not on Fun!
The dads and sons of the PRISIP Winnebago Nation had a great time February 6th and 7th at Camp Duncan. The boys participated in a variety of activities throughout a weekend. Art, athletics and learning were packed into this special event for the scouts. Even with no snow, the dads and Scouts shared memorable experiences.
Athletics included broom ball games that matched teams of scouts against their dads. An indoor floor hockey tournament floor hockey tournament continued until the early evenings with scout teams battling for floor hockey supremacy. Scouts learned about Native American legends, myths and fables through the constellations at Camp Duncan’s indoor Star Lab. Hopeful scouts designed colorful representations of the winter campout seeking to win the patch design contest. The boys explored the campgrounds searching for the most interesting object that they could find. Saturday night finished with the traditional bonfire followed by the individual tribes’ late night barbecue.
Special thanks to Nation Chief Matt Hachigian and his amazing crew for coordinating this event. Enjoy the pictures from the festivities.
Welcome to Our 2011-2012 Season – The Start of Something New
For all of our Nations in the Park Ridge Indian Scouts and Indian Princess Federation, the new season is the start of something new. It’s not just back-to-school time, or the changing of the seasons as autumn follows summer, but new members joining new tribes, first campouts, new friends, the beginning of a journey that will last for sumers, ideally, a lifetime of Father and Son, Father and Daughter, together forever.
For us here at the PRISIP Federation, this year is also the start of something new – our new website, prisip.org – meant to connect you to our events and activities as never before. We hope you’ll take the time to follow and enjoy us throughout this new year, and beyond! Drop back from time to time and see what your favorite Nation or Tribe has been up to, share with your friends, get involved, get excited, enjoy.
We welcome you to our site, and invite you to enjoy the start of something new…
